Dzień Sybiraka w Nawsiu. Pamięć, modlitwa i hołd dla zesłańców

Bishop Jan Wątroba of Rzeszów led a Mass in Nawsiu on September 17 to mark the 87th anniversary of the invasion of Poland and World Sybirak Day. The service honored victims of repression, deportations, and exile to Sybir.

The ceremony brought together local residents, youth, veterans, government officials, the Wojska Polskie, and uniformed services. Sebastian Knurek, the parish priest, welcomed the attendees and noted the importance of praying for those who suffered in exile.

During his homily, Bishop Wątroba called on the community to remember the historical suffering and to pray for those who died during the deportations. He also asked for peace in the country.
