A new bill submitted to the Sejm proposes changes to exempt the sound of church bells used during religious worship from procedures used to issue decisions regarding permissible noise levels.

Przemysław Drabek explained during a conference that the project seeks to amend art. 115a ust. 2 and art. 156 ust. 2. The second change would expand an existing exception regarding the use of sound reinforcement equipment for religious worship. The proposal addresses a legal issue where a parish can be treated like an industrial plant under current noise norm regulations.
