East Deanery gathers for 24th Annual Wisdom Day in Jasper

About 175 people gathered in Jasper on Sept. 21 for the 24th annual Wisdom Day, an event for adults aged 55 and older in the Diocese of Evansville. The gathering included prayer, speakers, food, and entertainment to recognize the experiences and faith of the senior community.

Bishop Joseph M. Siegel served as one of several presenters during the event, which took place at the St. Joseph Parish Center gymnasium. The day began with Mass at St. Joseph Church. General Chairperson Clara Fromme welcomed the attendees and introduced Pat Koch, who served as the mistress of ceremonies.

The East Deanery coordinates the annual event with assistance from the Diocese of Evansville Office of Marriage, Family and Life. This year's theme was based on Jeremiah 29:11.
