Ein Segen: „Da reichen einfach du und ich“

Annegret Krampe, a pastoral worker for the Glandorf-Schwege parish community, explained the nature and power of blessings in an interview with the Diocese of Osnabrück. She described a blessing as a way to wish someone well and offer strength by conveying God's good wishes.

Krampe distinguished blessings from sacraments, noting that sacraments are administered by ordained persons using specific words and are limited to seven specific life situations, such as baptism or marriage. In contrast, she said anyone can give a blessing at any time or place without following a set form.

She stated that because all people are God's creatures connected to God through creation and baptism, every person possesses a soul that allows them to bless others. Krampe described these moments as moving experiences that connect people from heart to heart and soul to soul.
