El bisbe d’Urgell assisteix a la inauguració de les obres de remodelació de la Fundació Sant Hospital de la Seu d’Urgell

Bishop Josep-Lluís Serrano of Urgell attended the inauguration of renovation works at the Sant Hospital Foundation in La Seu d'Urgell on Friday, September 18. The project involved remodeling the second and third floors to create new facilities for intermediate care, a day center, and an assisted residence.

The renovations began in early 2024 and included updating spaces to meet current fire protection regulations. The improvements added rooms with bathrooms, new areas for staff, and larger common spaces. During the construction period, residents were housed in the Sant Tomàs wing on the third floor of the Urgell diocesan seminary.

The bishop was accompanied by the rector of the Sant Ot parish, Father Josep Chisvert. He was received by Joan Barrera, Palmira Borràs, and members of the foundation's management team. Other attendees included Oscar Martinez, Josefina Lladós, Eva Jordà, and Felip Benavent.
