Pope Leo XIV leads Angelus prayer

Pope Leo XIV led the Angelus prayer for pilgrims and faithful gathered in St. Peter's Square on Sunday, September 20, 2026. Appearing from his study window at the Apostolic Palace, the Pope addressed the crowd during the 25th Sunday in Ordinary Time.

During his reflection on the Gospel, the Pope noted that Jesus' parables show the newness of God's plans while revealing human tendencies to resist more generous justice and greater love. He specifically referenced the parable of the workers in the vineyard to illustrate how God's goodness is intended for everyone rather than a select few.
