Pope Leo XIV will visit Uruguay, Argentina, and Peru starting November 6, 2026, according to a published itinerary. The trip begins with the Pope flying from Rome to Montevideo, Uruguay, where he will attend a welcome ceremony at Plaza Independencia and meet with government officials and diplomats. He is scheduled to visit the President of the Republic at the Edificio José Artigas before celebrating evening prayers with bishops, priests, deacons, religious men and women, and seminarians at the Catedral Metropolitana de la Inmaculada Concepción y San Felipe y Santiago.

On November 7, the Pope will travel to Paysandú to celebrate Mass at Parque París Londres. After returning to Montevideo, he will meet with the community at the Parroquia de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe in Casavalle and visit the Universidad Católica de Uruguay to meet with educators.

The final leg of the Uruguayan visit includes a Mass at the Catedral Basílica de Florida, Santuario Nacional de la Virgen de los Treinta y Tres on November 8. The Pope will then depart from the Montevideo-Carrasco airport.
