El sacerdote Nelson Borges tomó posesión como nuevo párroco de San Pedro de Carmona

Priest Nelson Borges took possession as the new parish priest of San Pedro de Carmona during a Mass on Monday. Archbishop of Seville José Ángel Saiz Meneses presided over the celebration.

The ceremony brought together local authorities, members of religious orders, and many parishioners from the city of Carmona. During his homily, Archbishop Saiz Meneses told Borges to keep Christ at the center of his service and to welcome the parish with gratitude, humility, and hope. He encouraged the new priest to support parishioners facing difficulties and to use prayer and the Eucharist as the foundation of parish life.

Archbishop Saiz Meneses also called on the community to act as a missionary group that reaches out to those far from the Church. He asked the faithful to support Borges through prayer and cooperation, helping every baptized person use their gifts to serve the community.
