El Sínodo pide «acuerdos obligatorios» entre obispos y religiosos

The Synod proposes that bishops and religious institutes sign mandatory written agreements to regulate their relationship. According to reports from Alfa y Omega and Vida Nueva, these documents would replace informal arrangements or reliance on the goodwill of leaders with formal rules for shared responsibility between dioceses and religious congregations.

These proposed agreements would cover sensitive areas such as pastoral mission, training, pay, and equality between men and women. Additionally, two new reports suggest involving the faithful in the preparation for ad limina visits.
