En direct du pèlerinage à Assise et Florence

A group of 34 pilgrims from the Diocese of Angoulême began a pilgrimage to Assisi and Florence on Wednesday, September 16, 2026. The journey follows the theme of creation as a beauty that leads to God.

The group started their first day in Assisi with a celebration of the Eucharist at the Basilica of St. Francis. Following this, pilgrims visited the Basilica of St. Clare and the San Damiano sanctuary, a site associated with the prayer and poverty of St. Francis and St. Clare.

In the afternoon, a Franciscan guide led the group on a tour of the Basilica of St. Francis to view its frescoes. The pilgrims concluded their first day by visiting the tomb of St. Carlo Acutis.
