Encontro regional dos coordenadores e assessores de Liturgia de Minas Gerais

Liturgical coordinators and advisors from Minas Gerais met in Santa Luzia from September 14 to 17 to discuss liturgical music and its role in the liturgy.

Father Jair, an advisor for liturgical music for the CNBB Liturgy Commission, led sessions on how music can help the liturgy facilitate an encounter with the Paschal mystery. Seminarist Daniel Ribeiro, an advisor for the Pastoral Liturgy of the Diocese of Luz, noted that the training included practical experiences to help participants understand how rites function in the lives of the faithful. Ribeiro stated that focusing on the Paschal mystery within the rite supports the spiritual growth of all parishioners.
