ERITREA: Eritrea's Holy Savior Parish Celebrates Golden Jubilee

Holy Savior Parish in Gejeret, Asmara, celebrated its Golden Jubilee, marking 50 years of providing Holy Mass and pastoral services in the Ge'ez Rite.

Archbishop Menghisteab Tesfamariam served as the main celebrant for the anniversary. During the liturgy, the Archbishop reflected on the Gospel of Matthew and connected the milestone to his recent Ge'ez New Year message regarding the wise use of time. He urged the faithful to use the jubilee as a moment for gratitude and to evaluate their past to make new commitments to improve their weaknesses. He described time as a gift from God that should be used for the good of oneself and neighbors.
