Esaltazione della Croce: “La misura dell’Amore è amare senza misura”

During a homily for the Feast of the Exaltation of the Cross, the Diocese of Locri–Gerace–Santa Maria di Polsi reflected on the lessons of self-giving and humility found in the crucifixion of Jesus.

The homily noted that the Gospel reading for the feast includes the conclusion of the conversation between Jesus and Nicodemus from the Gospel of John. The text described Nicodemus as a pious and honest man belonging to the Sinedrio who initially approached Jesus with caution. The reflection highlighted Nicodemus's journey of faith and conversion, noting that he eventually provided about 30 kilograms of a mixture of myrrh and aloe for Jesus's burial.

The message emphasized that by embracing the cross alongside their own struggles, believers are lifted toward God's glory and total liberation.
