Essere Santuario di Gesù Nazareno significa seguire lo stile di vita del Crocifisso

Archbishop of Agrigento Alessandro Damiano officially elevated the Mother Church of San Giovanni Battista to the Diocesan Sanctuary of Jesus of Nazareth. This designation recognizes a devotion rooted in the faith and tradition of the communities of San Giovanni Gemini, Cammarata, and nearby towns.

The celebration included parish priest Don Gianluca Arcuri, diocesan priests, seminarians, and altar servers. Civil and military authorities were also present, including the Questore of Agrigento Palumbo and the President of the Libero consorzio comunale di Agrigento Pendolino.

A procession moved from Piazza Purrello to the church, during which seminarians carried a gold crown of Jesus of Nazareth. Archbishop Damiano carried the crown along the central aisle and delivered it to Don Gianluca Arcuri to perform the coronation.
