European symposium on synodality takes place in Austria

The European symposium "Shaping Synodality in Europe – From Vision to Roadmap" took place from September 14 to 17, 2026, at Bildungshaus Schloss Puchberg near Wels, Austria. Organized under the patronage of the Council of European Bishops' Conferences (CCEE), the event brought together 187 participants representing 29 episcopal conferences from 31 countries.

The symposium was held in collaboration with the European Taskforce for Synodality and the Department for Synodality at the Private Catholic University of Linz. The meeting served as part of the implementation phase of the synodal process and helped prepare for the European Assembly in 2028.
