Diocese of Asunción publishes today's Gospel

The Diocese of Asunción published the Gospel reading for Friday, October 9, 2026.

The text features a passage from the Gospel according to San Lucas 11, 15-26. In the reading, Jesus responds to claims that he expels demons by the power of Belzebul. He explains that a kingdom divided against itself cannot stand and states that he expels demons through the power of God, signifying that the Kingdom of God has arrived. The passage also includes a warning regarding an impure spirit that returns to a person after being expelled, only to find the house empty and bringing seven other spirits with it.
