FACASC offers counseling and mental health course

The Faculdade Católica de Santa Catarina (FACASC) is offering an extension course in counseling, pastoral accompaniment, and mental health. The program integrates spirituality and mental health care to help pastoral workers address modern challenges through qualified instruction.

The course will be held 100% online via live classes on Google Meet. Classes begin on October 6, 2026, and registration must be completed through the FACASC website by October 1, 2026.

The curriculum covers topics including human suffering, mental health, active listening, and helping relationships. Students will also study spirituality, resilience, psychopathology, neurodivergences, trauma, grief, ethics, and interdisciplinary care practices. The training aims to help pastoral workers provide more responsible and human accompaniment to various community realities.
