The Diocese of Chartres has addressed the ongoing suffering of minors caused by sexual abuse and the abuse of power and conscience by clergy members.

In a statement released by the diocese's communication service, the leadership acknowledged the pain experienced by many victims. The diocese referenced the words of Saint Paul to express that the suffering of one member affects the entire community.
