FACE Fall Scholarship Dinner Raises Critical Funds to Support Catholic Education
The Foundation to Advance Catholic Education (FACE) will hold its 32nd annual Fall Scholarship Dinner on November 10 at White’s of Westport. The event raises money for need-based scholarships that allow children to attend Catholic schools within the Diocese of Fall River. FACE provides roughly $1 million in scholarship assistance to more than 1,000 students each academic year.
Father Kenneth R. Sicard, OP, president of Providence College, will serve as the featured speaker. During the evening, Bishop Edgar M. da Cunha will present Edwin H. Hurley with the Timothy J. Cotter Friend of Catholic Education Award. Hurley is the chair of the FACE Board of Directors and previously served nearly 30 years as president of the Hockomock Area YMCA.
Event co-chairs John Feitelberg of HUB International and Janna LaFrance of LaFrance Hospitality are managing the dinner alongside a committee.
