Fallece el sacerdote diocesano Isidro Molino Núñez

The Diocese of Cartagena reported that diocesan priest Isidro Molino Núñez died on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at the age of 85. He passed away at the Hogar de Nazaret residence of the Misioneras de la Sagrada Familia in Rincón de Seca, Murcia.

Born in Totana on August 10, 1941, Molino Núñez was ordained a priest on June 12, 1966, at the Santa Iglesia Catedral de Murcia by Bishop Pablo Barrachina y Estevan.

His pastoral service included roles as assistant priest in Bullas and Alhama de Murcia, and as pastor in Sangonera la Verde and San Ginés. He served as the dean of the El Palmar deanery from 1992 to 2007. Additionally, he worked as the chaplain for the Murcia I prison center and as the episcopal delegate for Pastoral Penitenciaria from 1994 to 2021. He also served as chaplain at the Hospital General Universitario Virgen de la Arrixaca de Murcia from 1997 to 2000.
