Father Theodore Campbell dies at 81

Father Theodore Campbell, a priest of the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis, died on Sept. 18 at age 81.

A member of the Missionary Society of St. Paul, also known as the Paulist Fathers, Father Campbell was ordained in 1972. He was incardinated into the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis in 1982. During his ministry, he served at St. Lawrence in Minneapolis, which is now the St. Lawrence Catholic Church and Newman Center near the University of Minnesota.

His brother, Bishop Frederick Campbell of Columbus, Ohio, noted that the two men were very close and shared a passion for cooking taught to them by their mother. Bishop Campbell recalled that the brothers spoke weekly and often prepared meals together, including taking turns making Christmas dinner.
