Federation of Asian Bishops’ Conferences holds XII Plenary Assembly

The Federation of Asian Bishops’ Conferences held its twelfth plenary assembly in Jakarta, Indonesia, from July 20 to 26, 2026. Bishops from across Asia met with delegates and partners to discuss the mission of the Church in the region.

During the assembly, participants engaged in prayer, silence, and Conversations in the Spirit. The group reached a consensus that the Church in Asia must act as a bridge-builder by embracing the diverse cultures and peoples of the continent through ongoing synodal conversion.
