FELICITAZIONI FRANCESCANE, ACCOGLIERE LE CORREZIONI DA CHIUNQUE ESSE VENGANO – VIDEO E PODCAST

Bishop Felice Accrocca discussed the importance of accepting corrections from anyone in the latest installment of the Franciscan series, FeliCitazioni francescane, released Friday, September 18. In the video and podcast titled "The 'flop' of Francis and us and our failures," the bishop of the dioceses of Assisi–Nocera Umbra–Gualdo Tadino and Foligno reflected on historical moments where Saint Francis faced challenges in his preaching.

Accrocca used a historical account to illustrate his point regarding a time Francis preached in Perugia. While Francis was speaking to a large crowd, armed knights on horseback interrupted the gathering by playing disruptively. Francis addressed the men, urging them to listen to what the Lord was announcing through him and telling them not to dismiss him because he was from Assisi, noting the long-standing hatred between the people of Assisi and Perugia.
