Diocese of Caicó to celebrate Festa de Sant’Ana 2026

The Diocese of Caicó will celebrate the Feast of St. Anne from October 8 to 18 in Santana do Seridó. This year's festivities mark 90 years of devotion to St. Anne and 18 years since the establishment of the local parish.

Priest Luiz Carlos Alves da Silva and the festival team organized the event under the theme that St. Anne teaches the faith and Christ sends the community on a mission. The celebration includes both religious and social programming.

The official opening begins on Thursday, October 8, with a festive procession called Acorda Santana. This event starts at 05h30 and features an image of St. Anne traveling from the main church through the local streets.
