Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary and St. Benedict begins in Divinópolis

The Feast of the Reign of Our Lady of the Rosary and St. Benedict begins today, 27/10, at the Praça do Mercado in Divinópolis. The preparatory period includes the recitation of the rosary at 19h30 on 27/10, 28/10, and 29/10 with the equipe do terço dos homens.

Official festivities start Friday, 30/10, with the levantamento das bandeiras at 19h30. On 31/10, the chegada das guardas occurs at 14h30, followed by the recolhimento das coroas near Vila Cruzeiro and Vila Concórdia. The coroação by the casal de reis congos takes place around 18h, followed by a procession.

On Sunday, 1º, festivities begin at 9h30, with lunch at 12h30. The traditional Missa Conga is scheduled for 15h45 at the Santuário de Santo Antônio, celebrated by Frei Leonardo.
