Fine vita: le Regioni corrono ma il nodo resta

The Veneto Regional Council approved a law establishing procedures for medically assisted suicide with 32 votes in favor, 14 against, and 5 abstentions.

Veneto is the fourth Italian region to regulate medically assisted suicide. This marks the first time a region governed by the center-right has adopted such a discipline.

Agenzia SIR reports that the decision follows a bioethical principle stating that intentionally causing death or cooperating in it cannot be considered a morally adequate response to suffering.
