Five medical dreams, one tribal family

Five young people from a single extended tribal family in Sikabadi village are starting medical school.

The students belong to a household in the Daringbadi block of Odisha’s Kandhamal district, where most families rely on small-scale farming and daily-wage labor. Bursi Pradhan is one of the five individuals from the family beginning their medical studies.
