FOCUS founder to address ManUp South Jersey Conference

Curtis Martin will speak at the eighth annual ManUp South Jersey Men’s Spirituality Conference on Nov. 14 at Paul VI High School in Haddonfield. The founder of the Fellowship of Catholic University Students will address how meeting Jesus Christ can encourage men to share their faith.

The daylong conference helps men of all ages deepen their relationship with Christ. Other scheduled speakers include Bishop Joseph Williams, Bishop Emeritus Dennis Sullivan, and deacon Harold Burke-Sivers. Deacon David Harkins, the diocesan director of the permanent diaconate and a founding member of the conference, described Martin as an internationally known speaker.

Martin founded the Fellowship of Catholic University Students in 1998. He has served as a consultor to Vatican offices for the new evangelization and received the Benemerenti Medal from Pope Saint John Paul II. His presentation will draw on the apostolic exhortation Evangelii Nuntiandi by Pope Saint Paul VI.
