Forschungsprojekt untersucht demokratisches Potenzial / Ist Religion eine Gefahr oder eher eine Chance für Demokratie?

Researchers at the University of Erlangen-Nürnberg have launched a project to examine whether religion serves as a danger or an opportunity for democracy. The study, titled Religions for Democracy, will run until the end of 2027.

The project investigates the potential of Judentum, Christentum, and Islam to support democratic systems. According to a university announcement, the research also seeks to identify the tipping point at which religion becomes a threat to democracy. The Bundeszentrale für politische Bildung is funding the study.
