Fundación Micaela begins new stage in Bogotá

Fundación Micaela began a new stage of service to vulnerable women in Bogotá on September 16, 2026. Formerly known as Fundación Miquelina, the organization rebranded under the name Fundación Micaela as part of the Adoratrices America Province.

The transition followed a discernment process regarding the future of the former foundation, which has operated since 1977. The change aims to renew how the organization accompanies women and creates opportunities for them.

Sister Teresa Valenzuela, the Superior of the Adoratrices America Province, attended the celebration along with three members of the Provincial Council, sisters from the Bogotá community, and laypeople involved in the work. The event also included sisters from various communities within the province who were in the city for a training session.
