Funérailles du Père Christian Goudard

The Diocese of Viviers announced the death of Father Christian Goudard, who died on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at the age of 72. His funeral is scheduled for Tuesday, September 22, at 14h at Saint-François Church in Annonay.

Born in Annonay on November 20, 1953, Father Goudard was ordained a priest in 1985. He served the Church in Ardèche within various parishes and diocesan missions. Between 2017 and 2020, he served as vicar general under Bishop Jean-Louis Balsa and as rector of Saint-Vincent Cathedral.

During his ministry, Father Goudard worked with seminarians and the Scouts et Guides de France. Since 2025, he served as an assistant priest for the Saint-François-Régis parishes of Ay and Daronne and Bienheureux Gabriel Longueville. In 2026, he was appointed rector of the Notre-Dame d’Ay sanctuary.
