Petrus Tschickel, a canon and successor to Pius Parsch, suggests that Parsch might not have approved of the current Roman Rite liturgy.

Parsch originally launched the People’s Liturgical Renewal to bring Christ to the people through biblical and liturgical updates. While many in Austria and elsewhere responded positively, Parsch eventually became more cautious. He realized his efforts reached only a small audience, as the St. Gertrud chapel remained a small space that did not require him to move to a larger location.
