Ghana’s Bishops call for action against drug menace

Ghana’s Catholic bishops are calling for stronger border security and community action to combat a growing drug trafficking crisis. The Ghana Catholic Bishops’ Conference issued the warning following the seizure of nearly four tonnes of cocaine being shipped from Ghana to France.

The bishops urged schools, families, churches, and local communities to confront the effects of drug abuse, especially among young people. They stated that the country may be facing a much wider trafficking problem.
