Ghana's bishops call for reform in school admissions (Ghana Catholic Bishops’ Conference )

The Ghana Catholic Bishops’ Conference has called for a fair and transparent process for admitting students into the country's secondary schools. The bishops expressed concern over the difficulties surrounding the placement of students into senior high schools, noting that the annual process causes anxiety and disappointment for students and parents.

The bishops stated that no child should face humiliation, manipulation, or unfair denial of access to a suitable school during placement. They requested a system that remains open, accountable, and respectful while remaining free from discrimination, bribery, and undue influence.
