Giáo xứ Hòa Loan celebrates feast of Saint Teresa of the Child Jesus

The community of Hoa Loan Parish celebrated the feast of its patron, Saint Thérèse of the Child Jesus, on October 1, 2026. The celebration included a procession to welcome Our Lady of the Rosary and Saint Thérèse before the Mass began.

Parish priest Giuse Nguyen Van Truong presided over the liturgy, joined by assistant priest Gioan Baotixita Nguyen Van Phong. Members of the parish council, various local church groups, and parishioners from both inside and outside the parish attended the event.

During his sermon, Father Gioan Baotixita urged the community to emulate Saint Thérèse by living with humility and trust in God. He noted that while she lived a quiet life in a monastery, her ability to perform small tasks with great love led her to become a major saint and the patroness of mission lands. He encouraged the faithful to recognize their own weaknesses and remain faithful to small duties through God's love.
