Vatican collaborates on Oscar-qualifying documentary

The Holy See collaborated on the documentary short film Green Lava, which begins its Academy Award qualification process with screenings in Beverly Hills starting September 18. The film tells the story of Giacomo Mattivi and was directed by Lia Beltrami.

Paolo Ruffini described the film as an antidote to blurred vision. Lia Beltrami spoke of a life lived in faith, while Mattivi told Vatican media that he hopes the message reaches as many people as possible.
