Győri Egyházmegye scouts make pilgrimage to Máriakálnok

Scouts from the Diocese of Győr participated in a pilgrimage to the Blessed Lady of Sarlós shrine in Máriakálnok. Members of the Mosonmagyaróvár 1 scout troop began the journey with a blessing at the Moson parish church before walking toward the shrine. During the trek, the group stopped to pray at roadside crosses.

The parish organized the pilgrimage to launch the scouts' program alongside parents, family members, and young parishioners. Father Jenő Kapui, the parish priest, and Father József Jenő Galbavy, SJP, joined the pilgrims. Before the Mass, Father Galbavy blessed girls between 8 and 11 years old who joined the ladybug division of the scouts. These girls took their vows and received their red head coverings. The diocese noted that the ladybug division reflects Marian spirituality within European Catholic scouting.

The day concluded with scout ceremonies and games.
