Hakuna to hold synodal encounters ahead of tenth anniversary
Hakuna will hold six synodal encounters across Spain and Europe this autumn to prepare for the tenth anniversary of its approval as a diocesan association of the faithful in Madrid in October 2027.
The organization will host five of these weekend gatherings in Spain and one at a European level. During these meetings, participants will pray, listen to one another, and discuss their vocations and methods of service. These regional gatherings are intended to prepare for the annual meeting scheduled for February 2027.
Founder priest José Pedro Manglano stated that the meetings allow the group to look back and forward to determine how to better serve the Church and society. The organizers noted that the encounters will address material and existential peripheries, encouraging participants to reflect on how to respond to those in need.
