Heart of the Beast

The adventure drama Heart of the Beast, directed by David Ayer, follows a civilian and his German shepherd, Odin, as they struggle to survive in the Alaskan wilderness.

In the film, Brad Pitt plays James Belmont, a former Special Forces Command Sgt. Maj. who suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder. After James suffers a heart attack while piloting a plane, the aircraft crashes, forcing him and his dog to trek over 50 miles through the landscape to reach civilization. Odin also suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder and bears physical injuries from recent combat, including a prosthetic leg and titanium false teeth.
