Heavy rainfall cancelled the 218th Anniversary Mass and Rosary Procession in Somerset on Friday, September 25. The Diocese of Columbus reported that recent heavy rains softened the church grounds where the event was scheduled to take place.

The Mass commemorates the 218th anniversary of the first Mass held in Ohio. This annual tradition was scheduled to occur alongside the National Dominican Rosary Pilgrimage in Washington, D.C.
