Helping parents lead their families in faith

Bishops, catechetical leaders, and publishers met at Mundelein Seminary in Illinois from June 29 to July 2 for the annual Convocation of the Institute on the Catechism. Sponsored by the USCCB, the event focused on how to support parents in their role of leading their families in faith through evangelizing catechesis.

The gathering addressed the importance of the family as a primary place where faith is shared and nourished. Participants discussed methods for helping families move beyond simple instruction to achieve a deeper communion with Jesus Christ.
