History is not enough: Women deacons and the unity of holy orders

Phyllis Zagano has published four articles in America, The Tablet, Religion News Service, and Commonweal arguing for the admission of women to the ordained diaconate. Zagano maintains that historical precedent alone is insufficient to address the issue of women deacons and the unity of holy orders.
