Father Mateusz Włodarczyk, a member of the Institute of Christ the King, celebrated his first Mass at the church of St. Bartłomieja Apostoła.

The Institute was canonically erected in 1990 in Gabon. Its formation includes the traditional liturgy from the 1962 books. The Institute moved its center to Gricigliano near Florence, where it established its general house and the St. Filip Neri international seminary. The Holy See approved the Institute's constitutions in 2016, after it received status as an association of apostolic life of pontifical right in 2008.
