Homilía | Novenario de Nuestra Señora de la Merced – Lambaré

The Diocese of Asunción shared a homily during the fourth day of the novena for Our Lady of Mercy in Lambaré. The message focused on the theme of building fraternity through the commandment to love others as Jesus loved.

The homily explained that true fraternity requires more than affection, calling for people to treat one another as actual brothers and sisters. It noted that Jesus demonstrated this love by approaching those who suffered, listening to the marginalized, welcoming sinners, and defending human dignity.

The text suggested that giving one's life for others can be practiced daily through small actions. These include spending time with those who need to be heard, caring for the sick, accompanying the elderly, educating children with patience, helping families in need, forgiving offenses, or sharing food.
