Hong Kong celebrated the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Legion of Mary.

Frank Duff established the association in Dublin on September 7, 1921, the night before the feast of the Nativity of Mary, alongside a small group of laypeople. The name Legion refers to an army to represent discipline, brotherhood, commitment, and a readiness to serve.

The association distinguishes between active members and auxiliary members. Active members meet regularly for prayer, spiritual formation, and other activities.
