I nuovi martiri del XXI secolo, convegno per riflettere sui Santi della “porta accanto”

The Dicastery for the Causes of Saints will host a conference on Tuesday, September 15, to discuss the new martyrs of the 21st century and the concept of saints living among everyday people. The event takes place at the Augustinianum Patristic Institute in Rome from 9.30 to 18.30.

Cardinal Semeraro, the prefect of the dicastery, stated that saints are not limited to those officially proclaimed by the Church. Professor Riccardi added that current news reports demonstrate that the sacrifice of Christians continues.

Participants are scheduled to meet with Leo XIV on Wednesday, September 16.
