Iglesia de Calama invita a participar en procesión por el Día de Oración por Chile

The Diocese of San Juan Bautista de Calama will hold a procession and Mass this Sunday, September 27, to observe the Day of Prayer for Chile. The event begins at 17:00 with a procession carrying an image of the Virgin of Carmen from the Capilla Nuestra Señora del Carmen to Plaza 23 de Marzo, where a Holy Mass will take place.

The diocese organized this community activity through its pastoral office to mark the centenary of the coronation of the Virgin of Carmen as Queen and Patroness of Chile. This annual day of prayer calls on communities to dedicate time to reflection and prayer for the country during the last Sunday of September.

Church officials invited families, parish communities, movements, and groups to walk through the city streets to pray for the nation and its people. The celebration serves as a space for encounter and prayer while honoring the 100 years since the coronation.
