«Iglesia Noticia» (13.09.2026): Festa dos Remedios + 25 anos das Fillas do Divino Celo en Burela + Novo curso escolar

Bishop Fernando García Cadiñanos announced several upcoming celebrations and milestones for the Diocese of Mondoñedo-Ferrol during his weekly segment on Cadena COPE. The diocese celebrates the solemnity of the Virgin of los Remedios, the principal patroness of both the diocese and the city of Mondoñedo.

Other scheduled events include services marking the 275th anniversary of the Siervos de María in Ferrol and the 25th anniversary of the presence of the Fillas do Divino Celo in Burela. Additionally, the diocese begins a new school year this week.

Priest Javier Martínez Prieto provided commentary for the 24th Sunday in Ordinary Time, noting that the Gospel emphasizes God as the primary source of forgiveness. He explained that Jesus invites followers to forgive others in the same way God forgives them.
