Igreja: Fundação AIS renova consagração a Nossa Senhora de Fátima

The Ajuda à Igreja que Sofre (AIS) Foundation renewed its consecration to Nossa Senhora de Fátima during its annual pilgrimage to Cova da Iria on Sunday, September 21, 2026. Supporters of the institution gathered at the Steyler hotel chapel to repeat the words spoken in 1967 by the founder of AIS, Father Werenfried Van Straaten.

The new ecclesiastical assistant for the AIS Foundation in Portugal, Father José Carlos Nunes, noted during the celebration that donor generosity supports the missionary efforts of the Church in many parts of the world, particularly where the Church is poor or persecuted. Father Nunes also mentioned a recent meeting in the Vatican where ecclesiastical assistants from 23 secretariats met with Pope Leão XIV, who thanked the pontifical institution for its work.
