Bank of Valletta and the Malta Football Association held a seminar for member club representatives to discuss legal obligations and financial crime prevention in football. The session aimed to help clubs better understand anti-money laundering requirements, governance expectations, and the legal and regulatory responsibilities that affect them.

Experts from the bank and the Malta FA integrity officer led sessions on risks associated with financial crime, sanctions, fraud, scams, and governance duties. The seminar provided information on current and emerging compliance requirements to help clubs strengthen their internal controls and meet future regulatory standards.

This event was one of the first actions taken following a recently signed agreement in principle between the bank and the association.
